Green in the Perth market

Asking around about the colorbond roof it doesn't seem like such a good idea to go with surfmist as people tell me they think it's too glaring or doesn't look solid.
I might go with a colorbond dune or darker not sure.

Jaylo,

I have about 40 newly or undergoing construction houses outside my house - these are $1m homes and I would say 70% are surfmist. It's very popular and keeps a house cooler.

Check out Shale Grey or Dune as an alternative if you don't want to use Surfmist. But you'll need to change the render colours.

All good colours/options.

I will also add ... worth looking at these, doing this for my project and it looks great. My g/friend is an interior designer and she selected -

Pebble Bay (Taubmans) - 50% strength (internal - walls)
If you want crisp/clean look

Timber/door/skirting trims
Solver WA White

(was told that the US Antique white can be too yellow)

Okay going from the wattyl colors again that should be close to magnesium a1w for internal walls (attached).

So to summarize Glorious Somersoft investor's choice that will be:
- roof, fascia, gutter: surfmist
- main render: dune
- contrast render: woodland grey
- garage & dado wall fence: timbercoat
- internal walls: magnesium
- window frame: white lustre
- flush internal doors
- PMAD101 entry door

Using Sketchup software with colorbond official colours (just need to download them) I attached an approaching view of what it should be.
I roughly drafted it so I will try to get a digital file from the designer, who knows I might get lucky

Just got a quote back from an exterior/interior color specialist for $1150.
Only thing is if I'm not happy with the proposal I would still need to pay obviously.
Not sure if it's worth it or not. She works freelance but she's has done nice things for luxury builders.

Got the digital file from designer so here is the updated elevation:

Surfmist doesn't look right Jaylo. It's too creamy/yellow - but the other 2 look about right. Woodland Grey has quite a lot of green in it so beware that it is a greeny grey.

Can you show me it with Colorbond Basalt instead of Woodland Grey now that you have it all at your fingertips?

..... and I think the front door should be Surfmist too

Your right, I thought exactly same, I went surfmist roof/g door, it looks right.

The thing is garage doors should never stand out as a feature, that's what the designers tell me, I guess that makes sense.

There you go WM:

I see what you are doing, matching fencing, trim above and door, still think surfmist a better option, and wont date as quickly. I think the wood look alike garage doors are perhaps dated and can look cheap/tacky, just my thoughts:)

So you suggest I change the door/garage/fence/cladding to surfmist too?
Attached.

I've been told you should use 3 colours for outside colour scheme. I think you should add a pic of just the garage door changed to surfmist, leave the brown colours on the other areas as they add interest.
