I prefer a more private proposal, most of my friends do too. I really don't think you want to be remembering things like other ppl cheering you on

I do think a lot of guys get too caught up in brainstorming the most creative proposal rather than think of what their girl friends would actually like. A good way is to speak to her friends and get an idea first. Some girls love a showy proposal and some would rather not.

It's still sweet to propose in whichever way BUT it could also be equally embarrassing.
