Seminar Clashes (was Jan's workshop)

I'm happy to point out other's spelling mistakes...

individual, not idividual. Unless of course, you are commenting on people posting from their id, ego, and superego.

Very true Steve, how profound.

I'll work on punctuation if you like...

that should read "I'm happy to point out others' spelling mistakes..."

The spelling mistake belongs to the others, not to the other.

Sorry Steve, I'll only do that when the change of spelling changes the meaning of a word. I say that effectionately.

SAD

How sad you guys have waylayed this thread.
I was looking for points from Jan's seminar that I/we who will be attending can eagerly anticipate instead of a slinging match.
Perhaps there ought to be a category for such debates and you could leave well intentioned threads alone !!!!!

Be happy GV - it's a community, there's banter, debate and good ideas.

The thread wasn't 'hijacked', the first few posts where on who is going.

After the weekend happens there'll be more about how it was. Frankly, I'm looking forward to a report.

Steve is 'other' to me. I was pointing out his mistake, so other's is fine.

You do get some points, I could be pointing out others' mistakes, but I wasn't.

Hmmmmm,

Thanks Jas I've always aspired to be just an 'other'.

And I always thought I meant more than that to you :D

Steve

(Silly thread this has become)

Ok Steve, You can aspire to be more than just an other. you can _aspire_ to be an FP other to me :)

Significant other has already been taken, sorry.
