That's correct but it doesn't say much about his 'character' IMO and he would be lucky to hold down a job in many professions, that's what I would call dredging the bottom of the barrel

pretty sure that 20-30yo convictions wouldn't affect him much. probably wouldn't be an issue at all had he disclosed everything properly. although in that case he probably wouldn't be selected to run for the seat

Maybe he just did not read about the way spent convictions work in QLD, after ten years you are not required to say anything,about your past but depending on the question ask prior he would have better told about his past,just like some overseas entry visas,they ask several question ,and they always use the word,,:EVER:, have you ever been convicted of any serious crimes ,you would have serious problems getting into the USA-CANADA if you have a Australian drug conviction and it does not matter when the offence was done,ever means ever..
