Hey, that makes me "above average" in just about every category :D

I'm right on average for marital status- but my partner lets me down on the salary department ;)

Nice stats sbe! It's interesting to see that a lot of people here only started out after 2000... when houses started rising in value very fast.

NP, That's what stuck me too.

It'll be interesting to see how the group weathers the next few years, with reduced yield and CG.

The people with more (typically) have been doing it longer, and survived the last downturn.

Some will invariably decide that the yield / cg isn't enough, or with interest rates increasing and neg gearing, let go of things.

Hopefully, the people on this forum at least will be well prepared and informed to handle any downturn.

The trick is to be able to look broader than property for the best investment options :)

UMMMMMMM. Please explain?

Look at other asset classes - shares, business investments, etc

Change your emphasis from being a PROPERTY investor to being a property INVESTOR.

You won't be popular using that "S" word here Acey.

But I'm no coward so I'll tell you that I picked up a few grand today on miners and oilers. Now all I need to do is to string a few good days together.

For everything there is a season. There is no single best investment.
