Somersoft Cars

Judging from multiple threads now, a lot of members of the forum seem to have a strong love for cars! Maybe it is about time we show them off. :)

So how about this, upload a picture of your car, why you drive this car (reliable, fun, w&nk factor :D etc) and what would you like your next car to be?

I'll put mine up later. ;)

This is my pimp ride, gets about 20l/100km, so I drive it as little as possible. I'm going to put on a spoiler, chrome hubcaps and an exhaust extension so it can be fully sick, might even get some personalised plates.

EDIT :YIKES, can i use some fancy html to make the image smaller without re-uploading it?

Quite happy with it, BMW's are just fun to drive. :) Will probably get newer 325ci after this, or maybe the latest model 3 series coupe when the time comes...

I drive a Toyota RAV 4. It's comfortable, roomy and works well for my needs.

This is the first car I've ever purchased, I bought it in my late 30s. Prior to that I drove my wife's '97 Hyundai Excel and my grandmothers 1970 Ford Escort before I met my wife.

Cars are nice but there's other things I'd rather spend money on. In the past 2 years I've spent more on my scuba hobby than what some small cars are worth :)

Yummee

BMW 320d, BMW X5 and Lexus IS200.

Hooked on BMWs now and doubt if I'd buy anything else now.

Not photos of actual cars, just same model/colour from the web.

My beast...

Spent about $12k just on engine work, exhaust etc. so it is a bit of a sleeper. Have yet to run it down the quarter, but would expect high 12's or low 13's.

EDIT: sorry about the size, I'm doing this from my iPad...

Daily Driver - WM Caprice 6.0 Litre V8. We make a lot of trips to our home down the South East and always have the trailer loaded on the trip down.
That V8 power gets us there quickly, safely and extremely comfortably -

For weekends and fun trips 1969 Mustang Grande Coupe. Lots of power from the V8 engine. Has Dakota Digital Dash, Custom Upholstery and soon to have TCP Rack and Pinion Steering -

Our cute little 68 Mustang 6 Cyl Coupe. Here it is winning an award at the 2010 Mustang Nationals -

Here are a couple of our 1969 Mach1 Mustangs that we recently restored. We took them to the 2012 Mustang Nationals in Newcastle and stopped in at bathurst to try them out around the track -

I have a Mazda 6 Touring wagon as my company car

Also have a Honda CRV as my personal/weekend/IP reno/dog transport car.

Prior to the Madza and Honda I had a HSV VXR, but it was impractical as a day to day work car so it got sold :(

Well I wish that was my car! I plan on getting one in the future but hopefully not to find out why they call them a widow maker!

I've probably had too many cars, but I have loved each one!
- Nissan 180sx Type X
- Ford BF XR6 Turbo
- Skoda Octavia vRS
- Mazda 3 MPS BK (current)

I'll post pics tomorrow.

2011 VW Golf R is my day to day car. Remapped and an intake. Looking at getting a dump pipe soon.

Once my lease is up I'll get a turbo diesel Audi a4 quattro I think.

I also have a BMW 2000 which needs a lot of work. Classic 4 door with wind up sunroof.

Then there's a track prepped 91 Mazda mx5. Which is needing work after an off on a track.

And a 95 liberty wagon that is my reno wagon..

Nice cars. I struggle to get past the fact that they lose half their value as soon as you drive them off the lot. Also - the amount of money to spend on cars and insure them - there is another deposit ;)

I invest so I can enjoy nice things and have a comfortable life.
