That's great Spades - looks like it was Harvey's lucky day! He'll make a great dog if you're on the road and need some company - the right size and robust enough to handle it.
Yeah have rescued a few in the past off death row..So Harvey's breaking out of prison soon enough...My only concern he doesn't poop/pee in the car and at home.Though time will fix that.Might change is name to Harley?Harvey/Harley not much diff
There are a lot of dogs needing homes out here in Parkes, too. Both of my dogs I just took. The beautiful kelpie-doberman-rottwheiler I took from the neighbour 'cause he kept him in a cage and never let him out. He cried a lot - it was heartbreaking. I started walking him and then just kept him.
A few months ago I went up to the pound and there was a funny little poodle cross cocker spaniel sitting petrified in a cage outside so I took her out and brought her home when no-one was there. She;s such a little cutie.
Have paid big bucks to get other dogs out before so felt justified.
Lots of dogs are used for pigging around here and don't have very good lives. They aren't socialised and are treated rough. As you said, it's the owners who turn them into monsters.
Staffies can be really lovely.
Princie - the big dog - is one of the most gentle and dignified dogs I've ever met (though very demanding when it comes to walks).
Good stuff Wattle!...Some owners are such douchbags to there animals, they should be in cage!
Can't go wrong with a rescued dog, they appreciate it and aren't stupid.
Unconditional love, more than i can say for some humans i've come across.
Animal lovers are the best.
Keep up the good work Wattle!
